Join to apply for the HGV Technician role at Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join the Service Department based at our Liverpool site. Various shift patterns available, please contact for further details.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the main responsibilities include:
- Undertaking maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles/trailers of all types.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out vehicle tests.
- Performing permanent and complete repairs.
- Completing paperwork related to warranty, contract, and retail work.
- Performing preventative maintenance to minimize customer costs.
- Carrying out other duties as instructed by your manager within your capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, especially commercial vehicles.
- An organized and methodical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Experience with manufacturer training and knowledge of work methods and technical data.
- A full UK driving licence; an HGV licence is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
- The ability to work well under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
