Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Rainham, Essex Salary: £45,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Days (Monday to Friday) Company Overview: We are a leading company in the Industrial sector. Due to ongoing growth and investment in our facilities, we are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Rainham. The mechanical maintenance engineer will benefit from joining a global company that inests in their engineers! Skills required for the mechanical maintenance engineer: Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment within a heavy industrial environment. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components on large machines, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and presses Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and improve production line performance. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Key Requirements: Hold a mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent). Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment. Experience with welding, fabrication, and other mechanical repair techniques Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing or heavy machinery environment is desirable.
