You’ll work with the team to deliver high-quality support and accommodation to people fleeing domestic abuse, including their children. You will be the first point of contact for external inquiries, referrals, admissions, and residents in the refuge accommodation.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure customers feel welcome upon move-in and are fully informed of available support and their responsibilities.
- Provide practical and emotional support focused on customer needs.
- Manage referrals, conduct risk assessments, and assign accommodation based on customer needs.
- Maintain safety and risk management plans to ensure the safety of customers and their families, keeping accurate records.
- Be the first point of contact at the refuge for issues or emergencies.
- Assess safeguarding issues and respond appropriately, recording incidents accurately.
- Support the team in meeting occupancy targets by preparing rooms for new residents.
Qualifications and Skills
- A good standard of education, such as GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Good ICT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Experience handling personal data in line with GDPR.
- A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships and excellent communication skills to support and keep them safe.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with good time management and record-keeping skills.
- Alignment with Honeycomb Group’s mission and values.
- DBS check clearance.
