Our client is a respected main contractor with a strong presence in the food, beverage & leisure sector, delivering high-quality refurbishment and construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth on their framework, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-profile hotel refurbishment project.
The Role:
You will take full site responsibility for a hotel refurbishment, managing day-to-day operations, subcontractors, and site personnel. This is a fast-paced project with up to 30 operatives on-site, requiring strong leadership and a proactive management style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to required standards
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure all trades work efficiently and collaboratively
- Maintain site records, health & safety compliance, and progress reporting
- Liaise with the client and internal teams to ensure high levels of communication and client satisfaction
- Oversee quality control, snagging, and handover processes
- Ensure adherence to programme and help manage resources accordingly
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven Site Manager experience on refurbishment and construction projects, ideally within the hotel or hospitality sector
- Previous experience working on hotel projects highly desirable
- A background in joinery is preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and deliver to tight deadlines
- A CV that demonstrates longevity
- Must be prepared to work long hours, including 12 days on / 2 days off when busy
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification
- References will be required
