Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager. This role involves working 4 days a week at IBM and studying 1 day a week at university as part of an IT Management for Business graduate (degree) apprenticeship.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Starting in our Project Management Office, you will develop your skills through responsibilities including:
- Project planning and coordination, including developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and forecasting costs.
- Analyzing and reporting on project financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and gross profit.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports for project tracking and decision-making.
- Building relationships with stakeholders such as clients, team members, and external partners.
- Managing project documentation like charters, scope statements, and status reports.
- Identifying and mitigating risks and issues to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
- Supporting meetings, workshops, and retrospectives, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Coordinating with procurement teams for resource and material procurement.
- Assisting in maintaining commercial relationships with external partners and suppliers.
- Contributing to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements
- Office-based role, minimum 3 days/week at IBM Glasgow; travel may be required.
- Resident in Scotland; eligibility for SAAS funding.
- Security clearance eligibility and right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Maths & English Scottish National 5 grade C or above, or equivalent.
- Minimum of four SQA Highers at Grade BBBB or predicted grades with evidence on results day.
- No prior apprenticeship or university course in a similar area.
