Based at Middlesbrough Council | 37 hours per week | Until March 2026 (with potential for extension)

We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Caseworker to join our team at Middlesbrough Council. This is your chance to make a lasting impact in your community by supporting vulnerable individuals to improve their health, wellbeing, and future prospects.

About the Role

  • Manage a caseload of clients facing challenges around alcohol and/or substance use.
  • Deliver tailored psychosocial interventions to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Help clients develop healthier habits, access support services, and build a more stable life.

This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week), initially funded until March 2026, with the possibility of extension.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Experience in substance use services is helpful but not essential – we’ll provide full training. More important are your transferrable skills, such as:
