Omicron Solutions is currently seeking an approachable and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join the Helpdesk team.
You will be responsible for resolving IT issues across software, hardware and networking, both remotely and on-site. You will maintain system documentation, monitor network activity and support the wider team with installations and configuration tasks. This role is ideal for an outgoing person who takes pride in excellent customer service and has a strong understanding of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide remote and on-site IT support to meet service targets.
- Accurately update the Helpdesk system with case notes and progress.
- Manage, maintain and deploy Microsoft 365 systems including Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and Defender.
- Install and configure PCs, Macs, mobile devices and software.
- Deploy, manage and monitor Cyber Security systems.
- Support internal systems including desktops, laptops, applications and telephony.
- Monitor daily backups and server performance.
- Assist with server OS and hardware installations.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date support documentation.
- Build strong relationships with customers and deliver a high level of service.
- Travel to client sites when required.
- Prepare daily reports on completed tasks.
- Support the team in continuously improving support services.

The Person:- 3 – 5 Years previous experience working in IT Support
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, MacOS
- Previous experience and professional use of Autotask and DattoRMM tools.
- Confident communicator with excellent phone and client interaction skills.
- Able to work calmly under pressure.
- Organised and detail-oriented.
- Strong drive for high customer service.
- Proven analytical and logical troubleshooting approach.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (preferred).
- Keen to learn and always looking to improve.
