The Role:

As a Steel Fixer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the structural backbone of major groundworks and civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for fixing steel reinforcement bars and mesh to the highest industry standards, ensuring safety, durability, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
  • Cut and bend steel rebar and mesh to specification
  • Position and secure steel bars and mesh using wire, spacers, and supports
  • Work closely with site managers, engineers, and other trades to meet deadlines
  • Always adhere strictly to health & safety regulations
  • Assist in maintaining site equipment and tools

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on an RC groundworks and frame for a similar contractor
  • Strong understanding of structural reinforcement techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
