Job Description: The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs pulmonary-function diagnostic tests for use by the physician in diagnosing and treatment of pulmonary disorders. This includes conferring with the patient in the treatment room to explain the procedure and methods of breathing during the test. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible to document test information in the patient’s medical record and oversees inventory of supplies needed. In addition, the RCP is also responsible for calibration and maintaining diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree required.
  • 1-year experience as a respiratory care practitioner preferred.
  • Credentialed as a certified respiratory therapist (CRT) or registered respiratory therapist (RRT) required.
