The predicted salary is between 24000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

Practice Accountant - Full time or part time with flexible hours to be agreed. Negotiable salary up to Β£40,000 (Pro rata for part time hours). An excellent opportunity to be a key player in a smaller team or start more junior and work up!

Part or fully qualified accountancy qualifications but with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of end to end accounting is critical. A very modern practice using all the latest software and cloud-based solutions in Oldham - Growth role. ACA or ACCA.

We are looking for someone to 'fit' the modern accountancy practice in Oldham, who can help support this busy growing practice and be a key player or grow into one. START ASAP - July 2025.

Key Responsibilities of the Practice Accountant role are:

  • Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Ensure accurate records and timely submissions to HMRC and Companies House.
  • Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
  • Support with bookkeeping tasks and software integration.
  • Audit preparation and tax compliance where required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on process improvements and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
  • Confident communicator, capable of building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Proven end to end accounts preparation experience.
  • Comfortable working with accountancy software, tax platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Highly organised and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to delivering quality work.
