Job Opportunity: Lighting Technician – Bespoke International Projects
Are you hands-on, creative, and passionate about lighting design? This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised lighting design studio working with some of the world’s most innovative architects and designers from Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
We’re looking for a Lighting Technician to join our busy London studio. You’ll have the chance to grow your skills, work on extraordinary international projects, and contribute to one-of-a-kind lighting installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble custom lighting fixtures based on product design team specifications
- Support lighting control system builds, including wiring and panel construction
- Focus and install lighting fittings on-site, adding accessories such as louvers, lenses, gels, and filters
- Travel to global project sites for installation and final adjustments
- Assist with technical problem-solving involving drivers, dimming protocols, low voltage circuits, and lamps
- Support designers in building mock-ups and prototypes using the in-house workshop
- Use medium and light tools to modify fixtures and accessories
- Plan and execute precise lighting focus work on-site, ensuring delivery of top-tier results
- Hands-on technical background with electrical experience (qualifications a bonus but not essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical understanding of lighting technologies
- Willingness to travel internationally and work in diverse environments
- Comfortable working with tools and building/testing lighting mock-ups
