Purpose of the role: To deliver clear and concise store communications for Visual Merchandising as well as support & guidance for stores and the retail team through clear communication both in-store and remotely.
Accountabilities:
- Writing and producing seasonal & weekly VM guidelines for retail.
- Working with the buying and merchandising teams to understand product information that should be incorporated.
- Visiting stores and taking photos to include in the weekly guides.
- Being a point of contact/source of knowledge for all stores regarding VM.
- Communicating via email, phone and regular store visits to help with in-store layouts, graphic installation and give constructive feedback to the store team.
- Researching merchandising and POS ideas from competitors, collating ideas into competitor research packs and using them to help create new graphic and product layout ideas.
- Providing comprehensive VM training to the stores, on everything from how to create commercial floor layouts to the correct standards for lacing up trainers.
- Owning and creating prop and graphic allocation spreadsheets, understanding what each store should receive and the detail behind it, keeping the store audit information up to date to help inform this.
- Working to ensure brand campaigns are successfully launched in-store, through guidelines for key city stores or flagship window installations as well as related roll outs business wide.
- Overseeing the launch of all graphic and creative display in-store and in the window, ensuring they are in line with the guidelines.
- Being available to stores for VM queries and support as well as actively supporting through regular store visits.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Head Office VM role.
- Strong administration skills.
- Commercial understanding of retail and the current market needs.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to confidently train teams to execute VM best practices.
- Organised and able to write and keep to clear critical paths.
- Confident using Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office programs.
