Hours: 0.6fte, Permanent

We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest Catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.

The governors of this friendly and caring school are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, creative and committed primary teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will commence work on 1st September 2025.

We welcome applications from either practising Catholics or those who are sympathetic to the teaching of the Catholic Church.

The post holder will need to:

  • Have a commitment to uphold the Catholic ethos of the school and support the aims of the Mission Statement.
  • Be an inspirational class teacher, able to motivate pupils and improve standards.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
