The Transport Coordinator oversees nightly transport operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. Responsibilities include route planning, driver and vehicle management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to logistics.
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off (Nights) | 18:00 pm - 06:00 am
Key Responsibilities:
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Driver Management: Assign routes, manage schedules, and monitor performance.
- Communication: Act as the primary contact for drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to transport regulations and safety standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Schedule servicing, PMIs, and MOTs with VMU.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain delivery records, prepare transport documents, and generate operational reports.
- Team Supervision: Support and manage transport staff, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate training.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience in transport/logistics coordination.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in TMS, GPS tracking, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
