We have seen substantial growth in our youth ministry over the last year and are looking for a youth pastor to join our leadership team and oversee our ministry to young people, including our team of committed volunteers. St Paul's is a growing community church located in a semi-deprived part of central Cheltenham and is part of a team with Trinity Cheltenham. Like others around the country, we are seeing young people asking about faith and church kids bringing their friends. We recently ran Youth Alpha, which has spawned three small groups alongside our Sunday ministries.
There are two local secondary schools, one of which is a Church of England Academy, and a low-income estate next door to the church with many young people. The opportunities for engagement with both churched and unchurched youth are many and varied.
You will be a committed follower of Jesus, filled with His Spirit, and have a love for young people. You'll have experience of youth ministry and ideally of building and growing teams, but we can train and develop you if needed. The role could be full or part-time depending on the skills and experience you can offer.
Salary range: £27,000 - £30,000 FTE depending on experience and qualifications.
