Works are then delivered via framework / subcontractor management to ensure our built assets are kept to the required expected standard across the UU estate. Building maintenance and refurbishment projects are delivered within one of the 5 county hubs and support the overall delivery of the Building Maintenance and Compliance work programme. To manage and deliver a range of building works throughout United Utilities including undertaking condition surveys and data gathering (scope and outline costs) to prioritise works. Management of Framework FM Projects team and individual Subcontractors to successfully coordinate and complete outlined site works. Accountabilities & Responsibilities Lead and deliver a defined list of projects within the county hub region, reporting to either a Senior Building Surveyor or the BMAC Manager. Design and prepare detailed work scoping documentation, including condition surveys, photographic records, specifications, and drawings. Conduct condition surveys, identify defects with associated risk profiles, and produce scoping summary documents outlining costs for required works. Prepare outline specifications, photographic schedules, and CDM pre-construction information, review and approve contractor RAMs and construction phase plans, and ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety legislation and United Utilities work authorisation processes. Build strong relationships with technical disciplines, internal clients, FM providers, framework subcontractors, and ecology teams; facilitate surveys (e.g., ecology, asbestos) and support statutory applications related to environmental issues. Technical Skills & Experience Experience in Building Surveying or Construction Management Good written and verbal communication skills to write concise, accurate scoping documentation and reports Experience in the application and working knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015, the production of pre- construction information and the checking and approval of contractor construction phase plans and site specific RAMS Awareness of environmental and ecology issues (bats, nesting birds etc) identifying requirements and risk programme on site.
