Job Title: Senior Hydrographic Surveyor or Survey Party Chief Location: UK with travel across EU. Contract: Full-time Our client, a promising up and coming survey company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis due to increased growth of the company. Ideally suited to someone who has had a few years within the industry, who has partaken in various offshore projects and ready to take a further step with more responsibility and managerial exposure. Key Responsibilities: Taking a technical lead on vessel mobilisation, data capture, processing, and reporting. Managing hydrographic survey projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish. Supporting the operations manager in the general running and delivery of all hydrographic survey services. Contributing to business development activities and financial reporting at the project level. Assisting the managing director with pursuing technical excellence and growth in the hydrography department. Overseeing and mentoring technical staff to ensure quality and efficiency. Balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks to support overall project needs. Job Requirements: Experience in the field of hydrography and geophysical surveying. Knowledge of hydrographic sensors used on survey vessels. (MBES, GNSS, USBL, MRU, IMU, INS etc). Proven offshore surveyor skills with a background in technical operations. Competence in project management and excellent communication abilities. Understanding of business development activities and financial project reporting. A relevant degree in surveying or equivalent qualification. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to relocate within commuting distance to the head office, if necessary.
