Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to assist with checkout bagging, cart retrieval, restocking, trash collection, and maintaining cleanliness in the store. We serve communities across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey, and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member's talents are valued. Duties and Responsibilities
- Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
- Collect and operate trash compactor, perform housekeeping duties, and keep floors and work areas clean.
- Collect, stack, and push carts back to the front-end of the store.
- Demonstrate good customer service skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand safety regulations and company policies.
- Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to learn and use necessary equipment and tools.
- Meet performance standards, including attendance.
- Complete the required introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
- Perform all job functions safely.
- Wear proper, approved clothing and shoes.
- Maintain any necessary licenses, certificates, or permits.
Physical Requirements
- Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts, depending on business needs.
- Job involves continual activity.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Stand approximately 55% of the time, walk 45%.
- Category IV physical demands, including lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs.
- Max pull static: 20 lbs.
