YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
  • Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
  • Accommodate and document special requests.
  • Answer questions about property facilities/services and accommodation.
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Manage the use of revenue systems daily; this includes having an understanding/knowledge of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing where appropriate.
  • Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
  • Input and access data in reservation system.
  • Respond to any challenges found by communicating with appropriate individual or department.
  • Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations.
  • Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms and keep organized files of all groups.
  • Set-up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
  • Using the tools provided and in compliance with the Marriott international standards, Marsha reservation system, updates, and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPAR penetrations (RGI).

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • A good working knowledge of Opera PMS, and MARSHA is desired.
  • Familiarity with Marriott Bonvoy is desired.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand and anticipate guest needs.
  • High level of product, service and location knowledge to enhance the guest experience.
  • Desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
