Key Accountabilities
You will be responsible for account management of pig producers and feed mills. Your role will involve building strong relationships with our selected customers to assist them in expanding their business and support their customers (Pig producers) to increase their performance and profitability. You are responsible for introducing new products, concepts, and knowledge to our customer base.
- Develop and grow Trusted Advisor partnerships with target customers (Pig Producers, Feed Mills and Distributors) based on high nutritional solutions expertise.
- Cultivate and document broad and deep understanding of the customer's business (economic drivers), strategy and (nutritional) needs.
- Develop and maintain key-account plans, regularly reporting progress and forecasts as input for the local business.
- Grow the business (delivering upon targets, measured by volume, market share and gross margin) through application of sales planning and Cargill's nutritional technology.
- Pro-actively develop technical skills and expertise facilitated by the Industry Leading Practitioner framework to build and sustain superiority in applied animal nutrition.
- Develop Technical know-how (Production and nutrition) across the lifecycle of the sow and piglet driven by strong advisory skills.
- Work cross functionally with a local team supported by a team of production and nutrition experts across Western Europe.
- Cultivate and develop your own nutritional and production knowledge to stay relevant with the customer and market expectations/progression.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in fluent English.
- Demonstrated success in Technical Sales/ Customer Nutritionist positions in the UK Swine Industry.
- Strong experience of technically supporting a range of customers at different levels and able to articulate new products, concepts and knowledge.
- Commercial acumen to grow existing accounts and support on the development of new accounts.
- Able to work cross functionally across a range of internal stakeholders.
- Willing to travel to customer sites across the UK as required and to internal Cargill locations.
