The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services, overseeing and being accountable for maintaining proper Retail Sales Associate behaviours and practices ensuring maximum sales and profitability through continuing education, training and mentoring of sales staff. To oversee, manage, coordinate, and provide hands-on leadership for all areas of the assigned store to ensure company and store goals, objectives and standards are met or exceeded. These goals and standards include but are not limited to developing and maintaining a top sales team as well as creating a unique selling culture that drives profitable sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Maintain store environment (internal/external) that reflects company brand and corporate operating procedures.
  • Analyse and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximise sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
  • Control shrink, expenses and payroll.
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise displays are in store; signing.
  • Comparison shop and report results; share information with director and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximising goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits.
  • Continually evaluate and react to performance issues and actively recruit management candidates and sales associates.
  • Train and develop, direct and monitor training and development for all store sales personnel.
  • Coach and develop store team.
  • Build talent throughout the store by hiring right, training right, treating right and managing right.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is directly responsible for leading and developing Retail Sales Associates (RSA's) and Managers In Training (MIT's). Hold all personnel accountable to achieving their goals and following our selling strategy, floor rules and company policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or physical demands required.

  • Must be a proven sales leader to be considered.
  • At least two years of commission-based retail sales management required.
  • Working knowledge of a commission paid working environment is required.
  • Previous inside commission sales experience is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools, social media and smart device use and operation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work performed in a retail environment with merchandise displays and some items available for purchase in inventory. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends and key days required). This position regularly requires long hours.

TRAVEL

This position requires travel to main headquarters or to other store locations whenever necessary. Some overnight and air travel required to visit other markets or attend conferences.
