We are looking for a Floor Supervisor who will oversee daily floor operations, ensuring smooth service, team coordination, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is solution-oriented, and leads by example. You will be responsible for managing the floor team, optimising customer satisfaction, and working closely with the management team to enhance the overall performance of the café.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train the front-of-house team (servers, bartenders, hosts) to provide exceptional service. Monitor staff performance and ensure that all team members follow service standards, protocols, and policies.
- Customer Experience: Ensure guests have an outstanding experience from arrival to departure. Resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly, ensuring every guest feels valued and heard.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the floor, including managing reservations, guest flow, and coordinating the staff to ensure efficient service. Handle opening and closing duties, ensuring the café is prepared for service.
- Staff Scheduling & Coordination: Assist with creating staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during peak times. Ensure that the floor is adequately staffed and that all roles are being fulfilled effectively.
- Quality Control: Monitor food and drink quality during service to ensure the Pink Island Cafes standards are being met. Address any discrepancies with kitchen or bar staff as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the kitchen to ensure seamless communication and cooperation between front and back-of-house operations.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development to the floor team to help them grow within the company. Lead by example, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
