KOOSA Kids are a leading provider of fun & affordable after school, breakfast, and holiday childcare, passionate about delivering high-quality care. We are recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at our after school club at Godalming Junior School, Surrey (GU7). This is a part-time, term-time position, working Monday to Thursday from 2.50 to 6.00 pm.

The role

As an After School Club Assistant, you will assist the After School Club Manager in running the club safely and efficiently. You will help deliver scheduled activities while ensuring a safe environment for children to explore, grow, and have fun.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the safe and organized running of the club under the guidance of the Manager.
  • Help prepare, serve, and tidy up snack times.
  • Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (Physical, Behavioural, Dietary).
  • Understand relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding.
  • Ensure activity areas are left clean and tidy daily.

Experience in a primary school, pre-school, or nursery setting (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant) is preferred.

  • Interest in working within childcare or playwork settings.
  • Creative, fun, and energetic personality.
  • Reliable and passionate.
  • Ability to relate to children aged 4-11 years.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Motivational skills to inspire others.
  • Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check.
