About the role
Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Specialist Housing Partners (Independent Living Housing Officer) are a visible presence in their schemes, ensuring the effective management of tenancies. This involves working closely with the allocations and lettings team to onboard new customers. Moving into a new scheme is an important life experience and your role will have a positive influence on our customer journey as you’ll be supporting customers to maintain their independence for as long as possible. You’ll play a key role in encouraging resident engagement throughout their tenure in the scheme by building a sense of community.
Sometimes things don’t always go to plan, so you’ll also support customers to manage their rent accounts including service charges (including taking cases to court as a last resort), manage anti-social behaviour utilising a multi-agency approach as required, resolve customer complaints effectively and use appropriate legal remedies to ensure tenancies are ended efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements when necessary.
This is a role where you can make a real difference in helping our customers live independently for as long as possible. You’ll develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and build strong community bonds to make moments that matter every day.
Salary
The Specialist Housing Partner (Independent Living Housing Officer) spot salary is £29,580 per annum, pro rata for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary. Plus a regional uplift of £3,550 per annum, pro rata.
About you
You’ll need experience in delivering housing management services, along with a solid understanding of tenancy management. Ideally, you’ll have a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing or be willing to work towards obtaining it. You should have a proven track record in managing anti-social behaviour and a strong knowledge of rent collection processes and the legal frameworks around income recovery. With a passion for delivering a first-class customer experience, you’ll thrive on challenges and be focused on achieving positive outcomes for customers while maintaining accuracy and high performance.
Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check.
