We work with over 500 schools, colleges, universities, and training providers across the world to provide qualification certificates, endorsements, and apprenticeships to over 150,000 learners. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Officer to join our dynamic New Business team. You will play a crucial role in driving the continued growth and success of our organisation while establishing a market-leading presence in this arena. You will be responsible for sourcing and securing new business opportunities to support our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source, identify, pursue and close new business opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets to align with business growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives, strategies and processes to meet and exceed company growth objectives, quarterly team and personal KPIs.
  • Utilise a consultative sales approach to engage with customers, understand their requirements, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for further growth, utilising TQUK's range of products and services.
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts, ensuring profitable pricing and terms.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of all activities within the CRM system.
  • Capture and report intelligence that may inform our future Sales and Marketing campaigns.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and customer-centricity within the business development team.

Other Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of TQUK internal processes, especially those related to the customer journey.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of TQUK products and services, competitors and the awarding and EPA industry overall.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements associated with own area of work across Awarding and End-Point Assessment.
  • Undertaking other duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business as required.
  • Championing the organisation's values at all times to model behaviours to wider team staff.

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within the education or training provider industry.
  • Experience in working under pressure and comfortable working against defined targets and KPIs set.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Accurate pipeline management.
  • Be organised and able to prioritise your workload.
  • Have an analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret market data and trends to define strategic direction and growth within your area.
