Chisholm Bookmakers is a family‑run business established in the 1950s, with 34 betting shops located throughout the North East of England and Cumbria.

We are looking for a Betting Office Trainee Assistant Manager who will work a minimum of 25 hours per week in our betting shops based in the Bedlington area.

Applicants should be well‑motivated, prepared to work flexibly and willing to make a positive contribution as part of the management team.

As a proactive Assistant Manager, you will assist in the preparation of the shop, market our products and services to the highest possible standards and supervise staff, ensuring smooth running of the office. You should also be keen to learn new skills and be committed to providing the very best customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shop preparation and marketing of products and services.
• Supervise staff to ensure smooth office operations.
• Maintain compliance with responsible gambling guidelines, including Underage gambling/Think 25 and Self‑exclusion guidelines.
• Operate within flexible shift system covering opening hours, evening and Sunday racing.

Information

• Training: Full training will be provided through our training programme.
• Pay: Starting rate of £12.48 per hour rising to £12.68 after training.
• Hours: Minimum 25 hours per week. Flexible shift system.
• Eligibility: Must be 18 or over.
