The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized pool area, assisting guests, and ensuring that all pool regulations are followed. Tipped position.

Qualification Summary:

  • Required Experience and Education: Minimum two years experience in hotels, restaurants, or related fields. Front of House proficiency. Proficient in POS Systems, Aloha, Micros, etc or similar computer applications.
  • Preferred Experience and Education: Experience as server, busser, runner, host(ess). Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies. ServSafe, TIPS Certification.

Physical: Frequent standing and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, equipment, products and working in and being around loud kitchen and restaurant environments. Using keyboards and other office computer equipment. Occasionally push, pull and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must observe details at close range.

Other: Must speak English fluently. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills include basic math concepts, percentages and variances. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational abilities are often used. Ability to effectively multi-task.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Listens and responds to guest's needs.
  • Promptly and accurately relays guest orders to kitchen staff.
  • Picks up and delivers orders to appropriate guests within prescribed time limits, ensuring accuracy of the order.
  • Returns to the table throughout the guest's visit to ask if they are satisfied, check for refills, clear items as needed from the table and deliver guest check when appropriate.
  • Assist bartenders or other servers as needed.
  • Performs side duties such as cleaning, rolling silverware, setting tables, sweeping, etc.
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain safety.
  • Setting up/taking down furniture and equipment.
  • Check and replenish pool supplies like towels, life jackets, etc.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
