Stobart is now recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work on their Rail (Containers) and Bulk Mixer (Tanker) operations in Rugby.

Job Description

The Rail work involves moving curtain-sided containers in and out of ESL rail terminals across the UK, including loading and unloading at customer sites. Skeletal trailer and curtain-sided box training will be provided. The Bulk Mixer operation uses bulk tankers, primarily involving loading liquid yeast from Felixstowe and transporting tankers to Rugby and Carlisle, including trunking between these locations.

Shifts on Rail Operation

  • Monday-Friday Days from 06:00am
  • Nights from 18:00pm

Shifts on Bulk Mixer Operation

  • Sunday-Thursday Days from 06:00am
  • Monday-Friday Nights from 18:00pm

Salary

  • Mon-Fri Days - £15.00/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
  • Mon-Fri Night - £16.30/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
  • Saturday & Sunday Day - £18.00/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
  • Saturday & Sunday Night - £18.50/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
  • Bank Holidays - £18.81/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months Class 1 experience
  • Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
  • No more than 6 points on Licence with no DD/DR convictions
  • Knowledge of Drivers hours and WTD legislation
  • Ability to perform vehicle checks and report defects
  • Adherence to health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
