Ganymede Solutions are working with a leading rail company who are seeking to recruit a Rolling Stock Technician to join their team in Aberdeen, supporting planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role to support the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleet.

The Role:

  • As a Rolling Stock Technician, you will be carrying maintenance and repair on an operational passenger fleet.
  • Standard duties will include:
  • Inspections and exams
  • Follow technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
  • Inspection, diagnosis and repair, along with documentation support of rolling stock on depot
  • Complete documentation as required for exams
  • Support colleagues as needed with servicing, fuelling, cleaning, etc

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification in any engineering discipline or related trades
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the rolling stock industry
  • The ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings
  • Experience in conducting Exams and fault find and fix on modern passenger rolling stock systems
  • Right to Work documentation prepared for pre-employment compliance
  • A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic
  • Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
  • Be able to pass a full railway medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
  • Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
  • Happy to help mentality/attitude
