About the Role: We are seeking a Fleet Executive Chef to oversee culinary operations across our fleet of managed ferries operating on the Dover Calais service. This is a high-profile role for a visionary chef with deep experience in multi-site kitchen management, team leadership, and delivering high quality dining experiences. You will be responsible for upholding the highest culinary standards across our fleet, ensuring consistency, creativity, and operational excellence in every galley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Executive Chefs and culinary teams across all vessels.
- Develop and implement fleet-wide culinary standards, menus, and service protocols.
- Ensure quality control, consistency, and cost-efficiency in food production and presentation.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to source premium ingredients globally.
- Conduct regular vessel visits to audit food safety standards, kitchen operations, and team performance.
- Mentor and train culinary staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align culinary strategy with brand and guest expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef on a cruise vessel, cruise ferry, hotel, or large-scale hospitality environment.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary leadership, including multi-unit oversight.
- Deep knowledge of international cuisines, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
