BAND: 5 JOB PURPOSE: The Technical Officer plays an integral role within a local grants area office in the delivery of technical aspects of applications for a suite of funding schemes across the private housing sector. These schemes are aimed at improving housing standards, improving energy efficiency and reducing fuel poverty and enabling persons with a disability to live as independently as possible and to remain in their own home. As a member of the grants area office technical team, the post holder will ensure a professional, proactive, customer orientated, and high-quality technical service is provided to our customers and stakeholders and that funding is processed in compliance with policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Either i) Possess a degree or an equivalent level qualification (Level 6*) in Building Studies or other relevant construction related subject and can demonstrate 1 years relevant experience OR ii) Possess a BTECH higher or equivalent level qualification (Level 5*) in Building Studies or other relevant construction related subject and demonstrate and can demonstrate 2 years\’ relevant experience. OR iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development / experiential learning and can demonstrate at least 3 years\’ relevant experience.
