- Develop curricular knowledge in line with the school requirements
- Apply the school's behaviour management policy and report any difficulties to the class Teacher/senior leadership team
- Set homework in line with the classroom Teacher requirements
- Provide homework under the guidance of the class Teacher
- Administer class tests if requested
- Supervise the work of the Teaching Assistant, providing support if required
- Abide by and work towards all policies within the school, e.g. behaviour management, health and safety, equal opportunities
- Carry out pre-prepared exercises in the short term absence of the class Teacher
- Ensure students remain on task through classroom management
You will not be required to plan lessons, but will have the opportunity to lead the class, assisting students where required and ensuring lessons are delivered. Collect completed work and pass to the class teacher.
