Job Role: 1:1 Support (KS3/KS4)

Location: Pocklington area

Hours: Part-time or full-time flexibility available

Start Date: As soon as possible or September 2025

Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience from £26.15 per hour

GSL Education are currently looking for a committed and passionate Maths Tutor to work 1:1 with secondary-aged pupils, supporting their understanding and confidence in Maths. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to student progress outside of the traditional classroom setting.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and tailored Maths tuition sessions (KS3 and KS4).
  • Work 1:1 with students, both in and out of class, to help close gaps in learning.
  • Track and report on student progress.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to meet individual learning needs.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment.

As the Ideal Maths Tutor, you should be:

  • A qualified teacher or experienced tutor (QTS not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths up to GCSE level.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Able to build positive relationships and adapt sessions to individual learning styles.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
