What You Will Do as Powertrain Test Technician:

  • Installation of test objects into test rigs and commissioning of Test objects in Test Cells
  • Programming and monitoring of drive cycles, ensuring the smooth operation of tests
  • Maintenance of engine and Test Cell, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Utilisation of engine diagnostic scan tools for fault finding and repair
  • Operation of machinery and tools to fabricate, modify engine components, piping, and mounting

What You Will Bring as Powertrain Test Technician:

  • Hands-on experience with engines including, engine and component strip, repair, and assembly
  • NVQ Level 3 in vehicle engineering or a completed apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical orientated discipline
  • Profound knowledge of internal combustion engines operating principles
  • Knowledge of test bed operation and test bed control systems
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
