Key Duties and Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients. Process and record financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately, ensuring compliance with current VAT regulations, and liaise with clients to resolve any issues. Accounts Preparation: Assist in preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Support senior accountants in compiling management accounts and year-end accounts. Payroll Processing: Assist with processing client payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate payments, including statutory payments and deductions. Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, address queries, and provide professional advice. Maintain positive client relationships through regular communication. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing personal and corporate tax submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and deadlines.
