To complete a programme of Foundation Training including a portfolio of evidence to the standard required by the Level 3 NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering. Complete End Point Assessment for the Level 3 Aeronautical Apprenticeship Standard. To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of hand tools, and test equipment. Gain practical aircraft experience in both Line and Base maintenance activities as directed by the appointed Mentor under the supervision of a Technician or Certifying B1/B2 Licenced Engineer. Ensure that all duties are carried out in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, company procedures and the approved documentation. Control of any material or company equipment provided for the task and the cleanliness of the working area. Be personally responsible for delivering a safe service in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the ATrS SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems. This includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the applicable hazard analysis. If in possession of a full UK driving licence, drive and/or operate company provided vehicles and GSE as appropriate and on successful completion of an approved training course.

Training to be Provided: For the first 9 months, you will spend your time with our training partner Resource Group studying for your UK CAA Part-66 Category A1 Licence modules, coupled with hands-on practical experience in dedicated workshops and a training hangar facility. Accommodation will be provided by AirTanker in close proximity to Cotswold Airport to facilitate focused study. Months 10-48 will be spent with AirTanker based at RAF Brize Norton, furthering the skills you have developed with Resource Group and gaining valuable maintenance experience for you to be able to complete your Level 3 NVQ portfolio and achieve End Point Assessment. During years 3/4 you will be assigned to a dedicated shift, to gain a deeper understanding of the Airbus A330 Line and Base Maintenance environments under the direct supervision of a qualified Mentor and Engineer.
