Your Role

As a DevOps/DevX Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. Our cloud advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint. In your role, you will deliver DevOps advisory that will enable the adoption, acceleration, and innovation on the cloud for our clients.

As Part of this role you will play a key part in:

  • DevOps Capabilities: Assess, define, and implement DevOps capabilities to deliver innovation, agility, cost benefits, and improved time to market.
  • Holistic Modernisation: Modernise the developer experience across organisation & culture, DevOps practices & processes, tooling & automation, and architecture & design.
  • Maximise Investments: Leverage and maximize clients' existing investments in ITSM tools and frameworks.
  • Roadmap Development: Develop roadmaps to improve DevOps maturity and unlock value through NextGen technologies like Generative AI and Platform Product Management.
  • Collaborative Transformation: Work with all organisational levels to innovate, design, and implement modern technologies, processes, and operating models, delivering sustainable transformations.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development: Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution: Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & Development: Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

We are looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Lean process design and IT/business automation across product management, engineering, and operations.
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles with consulting/coaching experience in agile delivery transformation.
  • Define OKRs/KPIs, set up processes to measure and improve speed, productivity, and quality, and implement product-centric operating models.
  • Solid understanding of hybrid/multi-cloud environments, DevOps, CI/CD, SRE, DevSecOps models, DevX, build and deployment pipelines, observability, and ITIL.
  • Optional: Required certifications, licenses or languages.
  • Understanding of observability and monitoring platform; Experience of having collaborated with developers to implement and improve observability and monitoring practices is preferred.

Key expectations from this role include:

  • As a Consultant: lead a stream of work and produce high quality deliverables, providing key input to shape the strategic direction and support the design of propositions.
  • As a Senior Consultant: design and lead projects / multiple streams taking ownership for elements of the proposition.
  • As a Managing Consultant: desire to contribute to the growth and success of a top-tier consulting practice. Contribute to our market offers, knowledge and the overall strategic goals of the practice. In delivery and leadership, you'll be responsible for consulting sales in excess of £500,000 per annum.
