What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Registered Manager in running a safe, child-centred home (up to 3 young people).
- Lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
- Help develop individual care plans and ensure every child is supported emotionally and practically.
- Support staff inductions and training, promoting good practice and a positive team culture.
- Provide therapeutic care and help children manage complex behaviours and emotions.
- Take part in fun activities, days out, and holidays β helping create special moments and positive experiences.
- Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding protocols and professional standards.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a children's residential setting.
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum 22 years old (as per Ofsted regulations).
- A manual driving licence is essential.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and team leadership.
- A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach.
