What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the Registered Manager in running a safe, child-centred home (up to 3 young people).
  • Lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
  • Help develop individual care plans and ensure every child is supported emotionally and practically.
  • Support staff inductions and training, promoting good practice and a positive team culture.
  • Provide therapeutic care and help children manage complex behaviours and emotions.
  • Take part in fun activities, days out, and holidays β€” helping create special moments and positive experiences.
  • Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding protocols and professional standards.

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a children's residential setting.
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 22 years old (as per Ofsted regulations).
  • A manual driving licence is essential.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and team leadership.
  • A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach.
