Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Award-winning Scale Up Company – Remote UK – £50-60k We are working with an award-winning enterprise software scale-up with high ambitions for growth. Their advanced resource management solution incorporates AI and intelligent automation to help professional services firms optimize their workforce like never before. As the company grows and more customers adopt their platform, they are scaling up to meet the demand. This role is part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, which facilitates the scalability of their platform and meets the demands of an increasing client base. Location: Fully Remote (UK) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 – depending on experience Key Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to enhance cloud platform scalability. Maintain and improve our cloud estate in Azure. Automate manual tasks to improve SRE and other teams’ workflows. Increase knowledge sharing of SRE across the organization. Improve observability through reporting and tool creation. Drive improvements to our Cost of Giving Service (COGS). Diagnose and triage escalated issues. Support, mentor, and coach team members. Technologies: Azure AzDevOps Terraform Pulumi Python PowerShell scripting YAML pipelines About You: Significant experience with “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC). Enthusiasm for IaC and experience delivering IaC frameworks. Understanding of patterns and practices for reliable, high-quality results. Proficiency in Python and one or more IaC toolsets (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform). Experience designing and building infrastructure in Azure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies. Ability to break down big tasks, solve problems, and tackle risks. Cool-headed in pressure situations, knowing when to escalate.
