AVP Underwriter, Middle Market – 28525

The Company has a unique opportunity for an AVP, Underwriter in their Middle Market team in their UK Commercial Lines business.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

1. Prioritization and evaluation of new and renewal submissions to identify those accounts that provide the greatest opportunity for profit consistent with the business plan and corporate profit objectives.
2. Price and analyze coverage, structure, and exposures on individual risks.
3. Set appropriate terms and conditions per the Company underwriting strategy and guidelines to quote qualified risks.
4. Exercise proper underwriting pricing and discipline to meet profitability goals, complying with underwriting guidelines, systems, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Undergraduate, Insurance or advanced degree preferred.
2. At least 8+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
3. Significant experience within the middle market space.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
