To contribute to the Department's aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department. Key Responsibilities- To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
- To deliver GCSE maths and Functional Skills to 16-18 learners and adults (daytime and/or evening).
- To produce sequencing documents, lesson and assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- To help co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning carried out by the course team.
- To communicate assessment and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
- To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.
- To be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
- To observe and keep aware of health and safety documentation and procedures in line with College Policy.
- To undertake classroom or workshop risk assessments if required.
- Level 4 qualification in mathematics or other related qualification.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the GCSE maths syllabus.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Functional Skills maths syllabus.
- Demonstrate an understanding of diverse strategies for the teaching, learning and assessment of maths skills.
- Demonstrate competency including the Microsoft Office Suite.
