Prospective employees will be required to give a reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad.

About The Post: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Regulatory Services. We are seeking applicants for the role of Student Trading Standards Officer. With the imminent introduction of the new tobacco and vapes legislation, this role has been specifically created to support this work, although you will be given training across the areas of trading standards which fit with your apprenticeship modules – including product safety, food and feed standards, scams and weights and measures.

What You’ll Need: We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated individual able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate a proven ability and willingness to study, develop your skills and successfully complete the Level 6 Trading Standards Professional Apprenticeship, which is a condition of this employment. To join us you’ll need a Level 3 accredited qualification, along with GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths. If you don’t have GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths, you’ll be prepared to do the function skills alongside the apprenticeship.

Student TSO Placement Details: The apprenticeship is delivered by CSA through a mix of online and face-to-face sessions. To support your learning on the job, training will be provided and as you progress and develop you will be allocated your own workload.
