We are seeking to recruit a temporary, qualified, and registered Rehabilitation Engineer (Clinical Technologist / Clinical Scientist) to join the Rehabilitation Engineer Service, which comprises around 25 staff based in Birmingham and operating across the West Midlands to support 12 local wheelchair services. The Rehabilitation Engineers will be based in the Birmingham Wheelchair Service. This role is to cover maternity leave, and part-time working options will be considered.

We require a qualified healthcare science practitioner (clinical technologist) to undertake assessments of postural and mobility needs for service users of Birmingham Wheelchair Service. The successful candidate will create innovative and safe solutions to meet the assessed clinical needs of wheelchair users, taking into account relevant legislation and following our ISO13485:2016 QMS standards.

As part of a Rehabilitation Engineering Team of over 25 staff, you will participate in an active CPD and Clinical Supervision programme.
