We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a national real estate and professional services firm with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. You’ll play a key role in preparing statutory accounts, leading audit coordination, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial controls. This is a great opportunity for someone newly qualified (ACA / ACCA) or with a strong audit background who wants to move into a dynamic in-house finance team.

THE ROLE
- Statutory Accounting & Audit: Prepare consolidated statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and FRS 102. Act as the primary contact for external auditors and lead on audit preparation. Maintain audit schedules and ensure accurate, on-time year-end delivery. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity.
- Forecasting, Reporting & Controls: Support FP&A with month-end accounts, budgeting and variance analysis. Assist with cashflow forecasting, VAT reconciliations, and reporting. Help refine financial controls and implement process improvements. Liaise with tax and accounting advisors on compliance and statutory filings.
- Process & Systems Support: Support the quarterly WIP valuation process and ongoing system development. Assist with company secretarial duties and compliance-related tasks.
