We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient System Engineer to install, configure, and maintain IT and security systems in accordance with best practices and service level requirements. This role involves backend server configuration, system hardening, and the proactive management of service continuity and recovery measures. The ideal candidate should also possess knowledge of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), CCTV, access control, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation & Implementation: Install, test, and implement systems according to specifications while ensuring compliance with service level requirements and industry best practices.
  • Change Management: Manage system changes through an established change request process. Assess change impacts, obtain necessary approvals, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Issue Resolution: Perform root cause analysis for system issues and apply preventive measures. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and adjust as needed.
  • Service Continuity Planning: Develop and implement robust backup and restoration procedures and disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical advice to internal teams and project stakeholders, helping them resolve complex technical issues and make informed system decisions.
  • Security & Infrastructure Troubleshooting (Good to Have): Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to PSIM systems, CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, alarm and intrusion systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Backend System Configuration & Maintenance: Perform CIS hardening for Windows and Linux servers, configure Linux servers (including sudoers and SSH settings), implement secure user account controls, perform server restoration using REAR, and conduct routine computer and network maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with backend system configuration for both Linux and Windows environments. Ability to perform system hardening and secure configuration. Understanding of system backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
