The quality inspector - Mechanical, shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
  • Must have the ability to read/interpret engineering including but not limited to; drawing, parts lists, specification, purchase orders (POs), etc.
  • The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, CMM, and hardness testers.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 Rev B knowledge is required, AS9102 Rev C is a plus.
  • Candidate must have and be willing to use personal cell phone and personal laptop to support inspection reporting requirements while onsite at supplier(s) facility.
  • Must be computer savvy and willing to use Verify Global web-based email account when working for Verify.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Employment Type/Screening Requirements:

  • Willing to work as 1099 Project Specialist, if hours are less than full time.
  • Must have LLC/DBA or willing to obtain LLC/DBA within 30 days of start date.
  • Consent for Background Check (every 4 years).
  • Consent for Drug Screening, based on program requirements.
  • Completed Eye Exam based on program requirements.
