From satellite links to next-generation sensing systems, we design and manufacture high-performance components and subsystems—including SSPAs, filters, and transceivers—ensuring seamless connectivity and precision at the highest frequencies.
Responsible for the design of RF/mmW elements and systems, ensuring that electrical performance, quality, cost and manufacturability requirements are met.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the design and development of RF/mmW sub-circuits, sub-modules and systems within telecommunications and defence products.
- Detailed RF/mmW specification, design, simulation, and realisation, ideally including:
- Transmission lines
- Filters (range of topologies)
- Coupler design
- Synthesiser/multiplier design
- Component selection (ICs/MMICs) including vendor liaison
- Electromechanical product concept design in collaboration with mechanical design team
- Design of support electronics & layout of high frequency printed circuit boards in collaboration with electronics/PCB design team
- System line-up analysis
- Thermal, MTBF and component derating analysis and reporting in line with company/customer requirements
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree (or equivalent) preferably RF/Communications Engineering.
- Experience using RF design tools such as Microwave Office, CST, EMPro and ADS.
- Demonstrable experience of microwave circuit/system design including line-up analyses, tolerance/yield analysis and DFM.
- Experience in transceiver product design.
