RCGH Consulting (Retail, Consumer Goods & Hospitality) Cognizant’s RCGH Consulting unit is seeking talented consultants with extensive domain experience coupled with consultative experience of executing large scale business change and IT solutions in the RCGH industries. The role provides an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, high energy and entrepreneurial team working with leading UK brand names.

Role Background: Product Owner or Senior BA to help our clients in the areas of Merchandising, Store Operations and Inventory Management transformation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Engage with business stakeholders and conduct workshops for requirement elicitation.
  • Map business processes and user journeys, developing business domain models and associated documentation - Business process modelling, Process flow modelling, Data flow modelling, Stakeholder analysis.
  • Work with customers on transformation drive and provide E2E solution for Merchandising and Point-of-sales systems.
  • Ideate and conceptualize business pain points and translate them into requirements.
  • Create the business requirements document including non-functional requirements.
  • Creation of Process Maps (L1, L2, L3, L4) and undertaking gap analysis.
  • Document BRDs, FSDs, NFRs and RTMs.
  • Support internal and external delivery teams with project planning, functional and non-functional requirements, testing, reporting, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
  • Develop and facilitate user acceptance test (UAT) cases as required.
  • Support end users in adopting functional changes (e.g. training, documentation, implementation support).
  • Draw conclusions from market/industry trends, client issues and support go-to-market initiatives for Cognizant.
  • Contribute to research, design and writing of articles/whitepapers and participate as a team member in collateral development.
  • Support business development activities in the form of gathering best practices for RFI/RFP responses and writing proposals, developing service offerings, training, and knowledge management.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Domain expertise in Retail or Consumer Goods Industry.
  • Strong experience in one or more areas of Merchandising - Space, range planning, stock upkeep and assortment optimization and Point of Sale functions.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver merchandising strategies that enable space optimization and range optimization.
  • Knowledge/experience in E-Comm projects and large supply chain management initiatives is an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and business analysis on medium/large scale projects.
  • Knowledge of requirements capture methods and techniques, business systems and analysis, front end process, software development lifecycles and associated processes.
  • Proficient in the use of requirements capturing methodology toolsets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience of working within a structured project environment.
  • Experience of working to time, cost, quality objectives.
  • Experience and confidence in report writing techniques, facilitating workshops, and delivering presentations to senior managers.
  • Flexible to travel across EU and mainland UK and work across time zones.

  • Agile Business Analysis Professional Level Certificate (BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis).
  • Experience of agile ways of working (Safe, SCRUM).
