Job Description:

We are an independent retail jeweller, having established the business in 1982. We have an on-site workshop with three Goldsmiths working as part of our Workshop Team.

One of our long-standing Goldsmiths is leaving after 40 years, and as such we are currently looking for an in-house, full-time, Goldsmith / Jobbing Jeweller with at least 3 years experience at the bench, to join our busy team to carry out jewellery repair, manufacture and remodelling.

Requirements

1. Ring sizing
2. Chain repairs
3. Some stone setting
4. Claw re-tipping
5. Rhodium plating
6. Watch strap / Battery replacement
7. Polishing
8. Remodelling customers\’ own jewellery

Additional Skills Required

1. The ability to communicate well with colleagues both in the workshop and on the shop floor, particularly regarding the progress of jobs
2. Confidence to quote for more bespoke repair work
3. Machine and equipment maintenance

Job Type

1. Permanent, full-time.
2. The position is 5 days a week which will include some Saturdays.
3. Working hours 8.45 am to 5.15 pm.

Package

1. Salary: Competitive based on experience.
2. Holiday: 28 days plus all Bank Holidays. (We do not open on Bank Holidays)
