Within the Emplas Sales Department, there is an opportunity for a Bid Manager/Writer to manage and complete successful bids, increasing our presence in the public sector and taking ownership of the entire bid process.

You will work with the Commercial Sales Manager to identify opportunities and with the estimating team to complete bids on time, overseeing responses to ITTs & PQQs, with potential to grow and manage a team of bid writers.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify opportunities for supplying window and door products to the public sector.
2. Gather evidence and write responses for PQQs and longer form questions.
3. Collaborate with the Commercial Sales Manager to develop growth strategies.
4. Prioritize workloads for the estimating team to ensure timely bid submissions.
5. Build a library of responses for future bids.
6. Coordinate with other departments to gather information.
7. Respond to client and stakeholder queries before, during, and after bids.
8. Work with operations for smooth handover of secured bids.
9. Collect feedback to improve future bids.

Requirements:

1. Proven success in securing high-value opportunities.
2. Experience in bid management from opportunity identification to delivery.
3. Good commercial understanding.
4. Excellent communication and attention to detail.
5. Proficiency with computers and tender portals.

Desirable (not essential):

• Experience in manufacturing or home improvement industries.

Other Information:

• Hours: 37.5/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.
